New Untitled Deck by Marphaelius

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos "treasure-voltron" attrition deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable. The plan is to rush out the 8/7 commander, then use self-damage effects like Pyrohemia, Pestilence, and Last Laugh to repeatedly poke Smaug with noncombat damage. Because Smaug is indestructible, every ping becomes Treasure tokens, and those Treasures feed drain payoffs such as Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and Mayhem Devil. The deck can close games through massive Treasure bursts into Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact trigger, or an Exsanguinate sink. Smaug's haste also lets him swing for 8 commander damage immediately, though the primary engine is the ping-to-Treasure pipeline rather than pure combat.
