Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos beatdown strategy led by Rankle and Torbran. The game plan revolves around developing mana acceleration in the first three turns, casting the commander on Turn 4, and attacking immediately thanks to its native flying, first strike, and haste. When Rankle and Torbran deals combat damage, its modal ability increases all subsequent damage dealt that turn by 2, turning small attackers and double-strike spells into lethal threats while forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures. The deck utilizes a dense suite of double-strike enablers like Temur Battle Rage, Berserkers' Onslaught, and Blood Mist, along with extra-combat effects like Seize the Day and Overpowering Attack to burst through opposing life totals. While the deck boasts high damage output and independent threat redundancy, it suffers from low card velocity and minimal protection against board wipes.
