Flash Combat | Fire Lord Azula by user1161223

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula is a storm/combat hybrid. The deck's spine is attacking with Azula to gain Firebending mana and copy each instant or sorcery cast during combat. The primary win is a chained storm turn: Frantic Search untaps lands, rituals make huge red, and payoffs like Thousand-Year Storm, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Ashling convert copies into mana, draw, and damage. The cleanest kill is Snap plus Dualcaster Mage with Azula attacking, generating infinite storm and finishing with a copied Lightning Bolt. Secondary paths are pumped-commander damage and non-infinite storm burn. The commander is the engine and force multiplier; without her the deck still plays a spells-matter game but loses its best combos.
