Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic provides reliable life gain from the command zone and becomes a repeatable card-draw engine after being cast. The deck uses that engine with Rhystic Study, Black Market Connections, The One Ring, and life-payoff creatures to build a large Angel board. Archangel of Thune, Lyra, Archangel of Dawn, Righteous Valkyrie, and Resplendent Angel turn repeated life gain into counters, tokens, and combat pressure. Acceleration is a major strength: Sol Ring, Mana Vault, rituals, Signets, Talismans, and Smothering Tithe help deploy the expensive threats. The deck also has a broad removal and countermagic package. Its main weakness is that the value engine is not a compact win condition. Exquisite Blood and Bloodthirsty Conqueror do not loop by themselves, and the creature plan needs several turns of combat. It is best suited to a long multiplayer game rather than a deterministic early finish.
