Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger storm deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi acts as both a primary win condition and an explosive ritual engine, gaining +1/+1 counters and pinging each opponent whenever noncreature spells are cast, while converting its power into colored mana once per turn. The deck accelerates into Vivi by turns 2–3, then connects a damage-based draw engine like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on turn 4. Because Vivi damages all three opponents on each trigger, every cantrip draws three cards, fueling continuous spell chains. Redundancy from backup pingers like Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Kessig Flamebreather multiplies table-wide burn. Free countermagic protects the storm turn, while finishers like Chandra's Ignition, Crackle with Power, or an alternate Niv-Mizzet, Parun combo ensure the table closes out decisively without granting opponents another turn cycle.
