Deck overview

Farid, Enterprising Salvager leads a mono-red artifact midrange deck that converts disposable artifact fodder into card selection, combat control, and lethal burn damage. The engine operates by sacrificing nontoken artifacts like Ichor Wellspring and Myr Retriever to trigger Farid's ability, creating Scrap tokens while churning through the library. Mana acceleration from rocks and cost-reducers enables explosive turns with Krark-Clan Ironworks, Trash for Treasure, and Daretti, Rocketeer Engineer to cheat high-impact permanents like Portal to Phyrexia into play. Win conditions center on table-wide damage triggers from Reckless Fireweaver, Weftstalker Ardent, and Weapons Manufacturing, supercharged by mass recursion spells like Scrap Mastery. While the deck features versatile single-target removal and redirect spells to deflect interaction, it remains vulnerable to artifact sweepers and graveyard hate. Overall, the deck balances value generation, goad-based disruption, and artifact reanimation into an engaging, resilient engine.
