Smaug's Hoard by Mighty_Berserker

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck turns Smaug the Impenetrable into a Treasure factory. Smaug has haste, flying and indestructible, and creates a Treasure for each point of noncombat damage dealt to him. You ramp fast, cast Smaug, then ping him with Fire Covenant, Volcano Hellion, Blasphemous Act or Pyrohemia to make 7-20 Treasures in one action. Treasures fuel large X spells like Crackle with Power and Torment of Hailfire or extra combats with Aggravated Assault. The hidden engine is Wrathful Red Dragon, which redirects Dragon damage to any target and wins with Star of Extinction or Blasphemous Act without Smaug. Secondary paths use Brash Taunter, Stuffy Doll and Pariah's Shield loops and Dragon combat with Ancient Copper Dragon and The Reaver Cleaver.
