Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Jund Lands strategy led by Szarel, Genesis Shepherd. The game plan revolves around accelerating early mana, sacrificing lands to fix mana and generate value, and using Szarel to replay lands directly from the graveyard. Sacrificing nontoken permanents triggers Szarel to distribute substantial +1/+1 counters across your creature base. Midgame turns transition into overwhelming board presence via token generators like Titania, Protector of Argoth, Omnath, Locus of Rage, Rampaging Baloths, and Scute Swarm. Heavy land recursion through spells like Splendid Reclamation and Aftermath Analyst produces sudden bursts of mana, landfall triggers, and combat damage. Standalone powerhouses including The Gitrog Monster, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Soul of Windgrace ensure the deck maintains high card velocity and resilient board states even through opposing removal.
