Smaug, Wicked Worm by user1162709

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm commands an aggressive Rakdos artifact-burn strategy that turns Treasure production into direct damage and substantial card velocity. Early turns establish mana acceleration and pingers like Reckless Fireweaver and Marionette Apprentice. Once Smaug enters, he generates an initial hoard of Treasure based on opposing artifacts and turns every Treasure spent into card draw. The deck wins by repeatedly triggering enter- and leave-the-battlefield burn effects through explosive token generation, leveraging high-damage sweepers like Chandra's Ignition and Blasphemous Act combined with damage-reflectors like Brash Taunter and Screaming Nemesis, or converting massive Treasure stockpiles into lethal damage.
