Commander: Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff is an Orzhov attrition deck that turns opponents' (and your own) second spells into Treasures, then converts those tokens into cards and life loss. The primary plan is to establish a token/sacrifice drain engine-Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Marionette Master, Braids, and Baron Bertram-while using sacrifice draw spells to dig into a big X-spell finish. Secondary paths are Bolas's Citadel card advantage and the Approach of the Second Sun + Reprieve loop. Lotho is a value engine rather than a required combo piece; the deck functions without him. There is no hidden commander; Baron Bertram and Braids are the closest to secondary engines.
