Deck overview

Gargos, Vicious Watcher leads a mono-green stompy deck dedicated to casting massive Hydras ahead of curve. The commander provides a massive four-generic-mana discount on all Hydra spells while turning every targeted protection or utility spell into immediate creature removal via fight triggers. The strategy accelerates in the opening turns using mana dorks and land ramp to land Gargos by turn three or four. Once online, discounted powerhouses like Kalonian Hydra, Primordial Hydra, and Voracious Hydra flood the board. High-power card draw engines replenish your hand, while global pumps like Overwhelming Stampede and counter doubling effects overrun opponents through overwhelming combat damage.
