Deck overview

This Gruul Midrange Stompy deck leverages the partner pairing of Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood and Alena, Kessig Trapper to generate massive mana and card advantage. The game plan starts with 1- and 2-drop ramp to deploy Gilanra on Turn 2 or 3, followed by Alena on Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, casting a high-power 6-mana threat triggers Gilanra to draw a card and allows Alena to tap for an equivalent burst of red mana, chaining additional high-impact behemoths or massive draw spells in the same turn. The deck overwhelms opponents on Turn 5 and 6 through combat damage amplified by power-doublers like Unnatural Growth and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, extra combats from Moraug, Fury of Akoum and Scourge of the Throne, and direct burn from Terror of the Peaks and Chandra's Ignition. While light on stack interaction, its extreme redundancy and rapid recovery make it a resilient stompy powerhouse.
