Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-color Dragon tribal deck helmed by The Ur-Dragon, built around the commander's Eminence cost reduction and its attack-triggered card advantage. The plan is straightforward: ramp hard, deploy cost-reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant, then flood the board with large flying Dragons that snowball through Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm copies, Lathliss, Dragon Queen tokens, and the cheat effects of Descendants' Fury and Ureni of the Unwritten. The Ur-Dragon's attack trigger draws a card per attacking Dragon and puts a permanent into play, generating enormous momentum. The primary win is combat damage, amplified by Atarka, World Render double strike and Twinflame Tyrant doubled damage, with Terror of the Peaks pinging. Secondary lines include treasure synergies (Goldspan Dragon, Ganax, Astral Hunter) and a light removal package of board wipes. It is a fair, midrange beatdown deck with minimal interaction and no fast combo.
