Format: Commander

Commander: Isu the Abominable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Isu the Abominable is the engine of a Bant snow permanents deck that rises and falls on the count of snow permanents. By playing snow lands and snow spells from the top of the library, Isu turns every additional snow permanent into a +1/+1 counter, and with counter multipliers like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Vorinclex, Isu quickly grows to 21+ power. The primary path is a midrange snow-permanent beatdown with Herald of Secret Streams and Overwhelming Stampede, while a secondary Marit Lage route via Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage or Marit Lage's Slumber offers a backup. Sakashima and Moritte can copy Isu to double triggers. Winter Orb plus Seedborn Muse provides a soft stax shell.
