Deck overview

This mono-red list focuses on Avatar Roku, Firebender, using combat steps to generate large amounts of unspent red mana and turn attacking creatures into lethal threats. The deck utilizes a dense base of basic Mountains alongside thematic firebending creatures and combat payoffs. Because Roku costs six mana and the deck runs conservative acceleration, early turns are dedicated to hitting land drops and establishing minor board presence. Once Roku enters combat, his attack trigger provides six red mana every turn, allowing multiple activations of his repeatable pump ability. The deck converts this raw power into eliminations by layering evasion, double strike, and trample from cards like Twin Blades and Fists of Flame. While resilient against targeted spells via redirection effects like Deflecting Swat, the game plan requires multiple attack steps across several turns to eliminate three opponents, remaining vulnerable to board wipes and combat disruption.
