Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist, utilizing an Esper discard-cheat strategy that converts discarded high-mana creature cards into 4/4 black Zombie token copies for {2}{U}. The 99 is densely packed with massive Eldrazi and Colossi alongside efficient looting engines like Evie Frye, Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator, and Compulsion. By circumventing traditional casting costs, the deck deploys threats with Annihilator, Infect, and devastating combat triggers as early as Turn 4. To secure victory, the deck complements its creature threats with asymmetric attrition tools including Oppression, Tergrid, God of Fright, Mindslicer, and Smokestack, which deplete opposing resources while feeding Hashaton's engine. Built on a resilient 38-basic land foundation with extensive spot removal, the deck grinds out opponents through steady combat damage and relentless resource denial.
