This deck is an Esper Spellslinger Control deck commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. It converts high-cost noncreature spells into table-wide life drain and steady card draw. The primary game plan curves early mana rocks into a Turn 3 Y'shtola, immediately unlocking value on Turn 4 by casting 3+ CMC interaction, removal, and card advantage spells. Defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda protect your life total from combat, while tax creatures like Kambal, Consul of Allocation and Liesa, Shroud of Dusk punish opponents for developing their boards. The deck steadily grinds down opposing life totals through repeated noncreature triggers, token generation from Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, and graveyard burn from Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian.
