Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck is an aggressive Mardu tribal engine that converts cheap Vampire casts into a massive, resilient board state using Eminence. By pairing zero-mana 1/1 tokens with efficient draw engines like Skullclamp and Champion of Dusk, the deck maintains steady card flow while expanding its creature count. It closes games through explosive anthem effects such as Coat of Arms and Akroma's Will, supplemented by aristocrat drain effects from Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant. The deck features high-velocity mana acceleration, premium black and white tutors, and premier phasing protection in Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment. Because Eminence operates from the command zone without requiring Edgar to be cast, the deck recovers rapidly from opposing interaction, presenting lethal combat and drain pressure by Turn 5.
