Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis midrange build centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages the Amass Orcs mechanic and all nine copies of Nazgûl to create an aggressive, self-fueling combat engine. Sauron punishes opponent spellcasting by creating and growing an Orc Army token, while combat connections trigger the Ring temptation. Each tempt triggers Sauron's wheel ability, discarding empty or low-value hands to draw four fresh cards. The deck uses this card velocity to deploy additional Wraiths, which grow larger with every temptation trigger. Supported by heavy board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Call Forth the Tempest, reanimation spells like Living Death, and card draw staples like The One Ring, the deck steadily overwhelms opponents in combat. While it lacks counterspells and instant-speed stack interaction, Sauron's built-in ward and dense threat redundancy ensure resilient mid-to-late-game performance.
