Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Witherbloom, the Balancer to turn a wide board of creatures into massive mana efficiency. By granting instant and sorcery spells affinity for creatures, the commander enables rapid spell deployment, massive X-spell finishers, and compact combo wins. The early turns focus on developing efficient mana dorks and recurring token engines like Ophiomancer, Bitterbloom Bearer, and Sedgemoor Witch. Once Witherbloom enters the battlefield on Turn 4, the deck achieves full velocity. Its primary win condition pairs Witherbloom with Sprout Swarm: because buyback adds {3} to the cost, affinity reduces the total spell cost to just {G}, allowing the convoke mechanic to tap the newly created Saproling token and cast the spell infinitely at instant speed.
