Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Grixis Doomsday deck centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord as a value/draw engine that replenishes the hand after ritual-heavy combo turns. The primary kill is Doomsday into Thassa's Oracle, with a secondary Aetherflux Reservoir + Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top storm line and a Pinnacle Monk / Saw in Half ritual loop. The commander is supportive rather than required: his ward and amass pressure draw attention while the actual win comes from noncommander artifacts and spells. Norman Osborn // Green Goblin is the closest thing to a hidden commander, giving discounted graveyard spellcasting. Most games are won on a single explosive turn rather than by combat.
