Deck overview

Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive leads a mono-blue tempo deck that turns every 0/1 and 1/1 into an unblockable trigger engine. The primary plan is to deploy cheap evasive or unblockable creatures, ride Tetsuko's ability to connect for damage, and convert every hit into cards with Curiosity, Grazilaxx, Bident of Thassa, and ninjutsu. The secondary path is controlling the stack with Faerie counterspells while assembling Strixhaven Stadium or a Notorious Throng token turn. The commander is the key unblockable enabler and Rogue prowl enabler, but the creature suite still functions through flying and shadow if she is removed. No hidden commander or double-faced card exists in the 99.
