Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Horror typal strategy helmed by Captain N'ghathrod that merges aggressive mill with graveyard theft. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration through two-mana artifacts and deploying low-cost Horrors. Once Captain N'ghathrod enters the battlefield, all Horrors gain menace, allowing them to push through combat damage and mill opponents' libraries. At each end step, N'ghathrod reanimates an artifact or creature milled that turn, quickly turning opposing resources against the table. The deck scales into the late game with massive graveyard-fueled beaters like Consuming Aberration, Sewer Nemesis, and Cruel Somnophage, alongside devastating group-mill payoffs like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Maddening Cacophony, and Rise of the Dark Realms. A dedicated interaction package featuring mill-counterspells and creature suppression through Sludge Monster ensures the deck can protect its board and disrupt opponents while steadily assembling a lethal board presence.
