Deck overview

This is a mono-white political pillowfort deck helmed by Nils, Discipline Enforcer. The primary strategy is to deter opponents from attacking you by offering them +1/+1 counters and then taxing their attacks based on the number of counters on their creatures. The deck heavily leverages the monarch mechanic to draw cards and gain incremental advantage, while goading opponents' creatures and using attack taxes like Archon of Absolution and Windborn Muse. The win condition is slow and grindy, accumulating +1/+1 counters on your own creatures through cards like Mikaeus, the Lunarch and Agent Bishop, Man in Black, then overwhelming opponents with combat damage. Lacking any fast combos or significant ramp, the deck aims to outlast opponents in a long game.
