Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Equipment Voltron deck commanded by Bruenor Battlehammer. Its primary strategy revolves around deploying high-impact Equipment with steep equip costs, such as Colossus Hammer, Argentum Armor, and Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and bypassing those equip costs entirely using Bruenor's free equip ability alongside enablers like Puresteel Paladin, Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and Hammer of Nazahn. Once assembled, the deck applies severe combat pressure by turning Bruenor or secondary threats like Wyleth, Soul of Steel and Champion of the Flame into massive lethal attackers. Secondary multipliers like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, Reyav, Master Smith, and Chandra's Ignition allow single combat connections to threaten the entire table simultaneously. The deck supports this aggressive game plan with an efficient instant-speed protection suite tutorable via Sunforger, including Boros Charm and Clever Concealment, while relying on low-cost exile removal like Swords to Plowshares to clear opposing blockers and disrupt critical threats.
