Deck overview

This deck combines Izzet control and Sliver tribal synergies around Sliv-Mizzet, Hivemind. The core strategy accelerates mana early to deploy the six-mana commander and resolve Curiosity, triggering an infinite loop of card draw and direct damage that closes the game immediately. It backs this win condition with a robust suite of free and low-cost countermagic, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deflecting Swat. Auxiliary Slivers provide utility such as haste, flying, targeting taxes, and tapping opposing threats, while alternative engines like Niv-Mizzet, Visionary and Underworld Breach offer redundant card advantage and secondary win lines. The deck excels at shifting rapidly from resource development to a protected, same-turn lethal combo.
