Deck overview

Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern leads a mono-black discard-and-sacrifice control deck. The front face converts opposing discards and sacrifices into stolen permanents; the back face offers a repeatable sacrifice/discard sink when cast as the artifact, so the deck is built around the front face. Secondary plans use symmetrical disruption plus drain payoffs: Waste Not, Megrim, Syr Konrad, Gray Merchant, Professor Onyx, and Tinybones turn discarded cards into mana, Zombies, cards, and life loss. Tutors find key pieces, while Bolas's Citadel, Crypt Ghast, and K'rrik provide mana and gas. The deck wins incrementally by emptying hands and boards, then closes with Torment of Hailfire, Tinybones's empty-hand activation, or a large Gray Merchant.
