Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange strategy led by Tocasia, Dig Site Mentor. It leverages Tocasia's static ability to give all creatures vigilance and tap-activated surveil, turning every creature on board into a card-selection engine. By tapping creatures after combat, the deck fills the graveyard to fuel delve spells like Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise, while triggering tap-synergy payoffs like Emmara, Soul of the Accord and Wylie Duke, Atiin Hero. Ramping through creatures and lands placed into the graveyard via Hedge Shredder, the deck transitions into the midgame by generating large swarms of tokens. Payoffs such as Divine Visitation, Denzilore Fatehold, and Song of Freyalise turn these tokens into overwhelming airborne or trampling threats. Supported by a robust suite of counterspells and recursion pieces like Regrowth and Shigeki, Jukai Visionary, the deck smoothly outvalues opponents before closing the game out over two decisive combat steps.
