Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Rakdos combo-burn strategy helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug is an 8/7 flying, indestructible, hasty Dragon that generates a Treasure token for each point of noncombat damage dealt to it. The deck accelerates mana rapidly in the opening turns using efficient rocks and rituals. On Turn 5, it deploys Smaug and triggers its ability using high-damage self-burn spells like Cut Propulsion, Blasphemous Act, and Star of Extinction. This produces 13 to 20+ Treasures in a single burst, immediately enabling lethal finishes through Crackle with Power, Exsanguinate, or drain engines like Mirkwood Bats. It also features an infinite damage combo between Blazing Sunsteel and Brash Taunter. Robust stack interaction like Deflecting Swat and Imp's Mischief shields the primary sequence from opposing disruption.
