Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is built around Teysa Karlov as an Aristocrats and death-trigger engine. Its primary strategy focuses on deploying death-trigger payoffs like Blood Artist, Marionette Apprentice, and Zulaport Cutthroat, combining them with sacrifice outlets and recursion. While it can control creature-heavy boards through Grave Pact and doubled death triggers, its primary decisive win condition is an infinite combo utilizing Ashnod's Altar, Nim Deathmantle, and Marionette Apprentice (or Sun Titan). Operating with 43 lands and Land Tax, the deck exhibits stable on-curve mana development but limited fast acceleration. Its interactive package is sparse and narrow, lacking staple Orzhov spot removal and broad protection spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed artifact removal, creature interaction, and graveyard exile. When unmolested, it reliably assembles on Turn 5 and threatens a table kill on Turn 6.
