Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari aristocrats and token swarm strategy led by Slimefoot, the Stowaway. The primary game plan revolves around generating large quantities of 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens through spore-counter Fungi, dedicated token generators like Mycoloth and Saproling Symbiosis, and Slimefoot's own activated ability. Once a critical mass of tokens is on the battlefield, the deck leverages sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Viscera Seer alongside redundant death-trigger drain engines such as Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats to drain the entire table simultaneously. The deck features built-in insurance against traditional sweepers, as destroying the board often triggers a lethal wave of life loss for opponents. While vulnerable to exile removal and reliant on natural card draw due to a lack of tutors, it delivers steady, synergistic pressure.
