Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Polymorph Control build helmed by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The strategy leverages low-cost token generators—such as Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Staff of the Storyteller—as inexpensive fodder for Jace's −3 loyalty ability. Once deployed on Turn 4 via dense 2-CMC mana rocks, Jace immediately exiles a token to reveal and cheat massive, game-warping creatures into play, including Archon of Cruelty, Serra's Emissary, Emrakul, the Exigent Doom, and Sire of Seven Deaths. Backed by format-ceiling free countermagic (Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship) and premium removal (Swords to Plowshares, Stroke of Midnight), the deck defends its engine while applying overwhelming combat and attrition pressure. Backup polymorph engines like Proteus Staff, Mass Polymorph, and Synthetic Destiny ensure resilience against targeted removal.
