Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck is an optimized mono-black turbo combo and reanimator build commanded by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The deck's primary objective is to accelerate K'rrik onto the battlefield on Turn 1 or 2 using explosive mana rocks and rituals such as Dark Ritual, Culling the Weak, Lotus Petal, and Ancient Tomb. Once K'rrik is active, life totals become the primary resource, discounting black mana costs to enable rapid tutoring with Buried Alive, Entomb, and Demonic Tutor. The deck primarily wins via Necrotic Ooze copying the abilities of Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar in the graveyard to draw the library and produce infinite black mana, culminating in lethal Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain loops. Secondary routes like Razaketh, the Foulblooded tutor lines, Peer into the Abyss, and Bolas's Citadel provide extreme redundancy.
