Xu-Ifit by Skomoto

Format: Commander

Commander: Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist leads a mono-black skeleton/aristocrats reanimator deck. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with creatures, then resolve a mass-reanimation spell such as Living Death, Bringer of the Last Gift, or Awakening Hall, while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Ayara, Bastion of Remembrance, and Venerated Stormsinger turn every death into a life-loss trigger. The secondary path is to loop Kokusho, the Evening Star and Gray Merchant of Asphodel with single-target reanimation to create large, repeated life swings, and the Skeleton subtheme-Death Baron, Death-Priest of Myrkul, and Corpses of the Lost-gives small tokens an alternative combat angle. Xu-Ifit itself is a repeatable sorcery-speed reanimation effect that removes abilities, so it is best used for chump-blocking, sacrifice fodder, and Skeleton payoffs rather than for ETB or death triggers. There is no hidden commander; Ayara, First of Locthwain and Syr Konrad, the Grim are the most important non-commander engines.
