Deck overview

Anafenza, the Foremost leads a +1/+1 counter deck in Abzan midrange colors. Her attack trigger and graveyard exile are utility; the core is the outlast keyword plus counter amplification from Hardened Scales, Winding Constrictor, and Conclave Mentor. Keyword-granting creatures like Abzan Falconer and Tuskguard Captain turn counter piles into evasive, trampling threats. The usual finish is a one-turn alpha strike, converting one huge creature into a global pump via Dragon Throne of Tarkir or Storm the Seedcore. Recursion from Meren, Sun Titan, and Living Death rebuilds after wipes. The deck has no hidden commander; both of Anafenza's abilities support the same combat plan.
