Deck overview

Gandalf, Friend of the Shire leads a mono-blue instant/sorcery control deck that turns cheap spells into card advantage and a token army. The primary plan is to chain instants and sorceries with cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Haughty Djinn, while Talrand, Sky Summoner, Murmuring Mystic, and Shark Typhoon convert those spells into evasive tokens. Gandalf gives sorcery-speed removal and draw spells flexible timing, and the Ring tempts triggers provide bonus cards when a non-commander Ring-bearer is chosen. The deck closes through an evasive token swarm, sometimes accelerated by Omniscience or Rise from the Tides, with counterspells and mass bounce clearing the path.
