Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Sultai Elfball combo list led by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the early turns using efficient mana dorks like Birds of Paradise, Delighted Halfling, and Priest of Titania. It uses entombment effects such as Buried Alive, Entomb, and Gifts Ungiven to place Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord into the graveyard. Once Thranduil, the Elvenking hits the battlefield, he inherits all activated abilities of those binned Elves. By looping the untap ability of Devoted Druid with the counter placement of Immaculate Magistrate, Thranduil generates infinite green mana and arbitrarily large power, then uses Jarad's ability to sacrifice a creature and drain the entire table for lethal damage at instant speed. Robust protection from Allosaurus Shepherd, Heroic Intervention, and Legolas's Quick Reflexes shields the combo, while backup lines through Staff of Domination and Ezuri, Renegade Leader ensure consistent win paths.
