Korvold The Greedy King by TheUrDragonMaster

Format: Commander

Commander: Korvold, Fae-Cursed King

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Jund lands-matter / sacrifice value deck helmed by Korvold, Fae-Cursed King aims to generate overwhelming card advantage through repeated sacrifice triggers. The core strategy involves deploying token generators (treasures, creatures) and sacrifice outlets to fuel Korvold s draw engine while leveraging landfall payoffs like Omnath, Locus of Rage and Rampaging Baloths for combat inevitability. Secondary win conditions include Revel in Riches (ten treasures at upkeep) and Hellkite Tyrant (twenty artifacts at upkeep), both achievable via the deck s heavy treasure production (Brass s Bounty, Pitiless Plunderer, Captain Lannery Storm). The deck lacks explosive combos, relying instead on incremental value and recursion loops through Journey to Eternity, Eternal Witness, and World Shaper to grind out games. Korvold s ability to draw a card per sacrifice makes him the central engine, but the deck can still function at reduced capacity without him through other sacrifice payoffs like Mayhem Devil and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest.
