Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes Hazel of the Rootbloom to build an overwhelming board of Squirrel and artifact tokens while converting them into massive mana velocity. Early turns focus on establishing cheap token generators such as Gilded Goose, Tireless Provisioner, and Chatterfang, Squirrel General. Once Hazel enters on Turn 4, her end-step trigger doubles Squirrel tokens, enabling explosive mana ramp and massive card draw through engines like Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden. The deck threatens a game-ending state around Turn 6 by overwhelming opponents with Beastmaster Ascension, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, or draining the table using Mirkwood Bats and Nadier's Nightblade. It also includes a minor poison package led by Bloodroot Apothecary and Fynn, the Fangbearer to punish token-reliant opponents. While resilient in creature combat and fast to rebuild, the deck remains vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacks instant-speed stack interaction.
