Deck overview

This Temur deck uses Xyris, the Writhing Storm to convert symmetric card draw and wheel effects into massive token swarms and direct damage. The game plan ramps into an early Xyris on Turn 4 or 5, then resolves wheel spells such as Windfall, Winds of Change, and Burning Inquiry to draw fresh hands while spawning up to 21 green Snake tokens. These tokens enable explosive mana production through Cryptolith Rite and trigger game-ending burn through Purphoros, God of the Forge or Psychosis Crawler. Alternatively, the deck overruns the table with combat damage enhanced by Nylea, God of the Hunt and Song of Freyalise. A dense suite of countermagic, phasing spells, and hexproof protection defends the commander and key engines during critical turns. If Xyris is removed, independent draw-and-token engines like The Locust God provide reliable backup paths to victory.
