Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed is a slow-burn Esper control deck that converts every noncreature spell into a life-swing. The primary plan is to land Y'shtola, put Wizard's Staff on her, and chain mv3+ instants and sorceries; each such spell drains 4 per opponent and gains 4 life, while Papalymo and 0/1 Wizard tokens add one more point per trigger. Secondary paths use Spirit/Hero tokens and Hraesvelgr, Ardbert, and G'raha to win through combat. There is no true hidden commander; Emet-Selch functions as a graveyard-recast engine, and the Alisaie/Alphinaud pair provides extra card flow. The late-game finish is an Exsanguinate or a kicked Rite of Replication on a Wizard token, turning every spell into a large team drain.
