Deck overview

This Gruul deck focuses on accelerating mana rapidly into the command zone to cast Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers. Because the commander has haste and trample, it attacks the turn it enters the battlefield. Each attack reveals cards from the top of the library until a creature is found, putting that creature onto the battlefield tapped and attacking for free. The deck is packed with high-cost, game-warping threats such as Blightsteel Colossus, Balefire Dragon, Worldspine Wurm, and Etali, Primal Conqueror. Topdeck manipulation tools like Sylvan Library, Scroll Rack, and Cream of the Crop ensure that every trigger hits a devastating creature. To finish the table quickly, the deck leverages extra combat steps from Bloodthirster, Port Razer, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Efficient protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Not of This World keep the massive threats on the board until opponents are overwhelmed.
