Deck overview

This Golgari Spider tribal deck is helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant, a 6-drop commander that turns every spider into a deathtouch menace and generates copy tokens from any creature a spider damages. The primary strategy is to build a wide board of spider tokens, leverage toughness-based damage via Assault Formation, and finish opponents through incremental combat damage, Ishkanah, Grafwidow's life drain, or a massive Torment of Hailfire. Token doublers like Parallel Lives and Doubling Season amplify the swarm, while Arachnogenesis provides instant-speed token generation and protection. The deck is a midrange value engine that grinds out advantage through death triggers and creature recursion, but it lacks explosive speed or a compact combo finish.
