Deck overview

Helmed by Ghave, Guru of Spores, this Abzan deck is a token-and-counter aristocrats engine that aims to convert Ghave's two activated abilities into an infinite loop of creatures dying, counters accumulating, and life draining. Early turns set up mana acceleration and a value engine such as Tendershoot Dryad, Mycoloth, or Elenda, the Dusk Rose. The primary win is assembling a sac outlet like Ashnod's Altar, a token multiplier like Doubling Season or Chatterfang, Squirrel General, and a drain payoff such as Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. Once the loop is online, Ghave produces arbitrarily many Saprolings/Squirrels, +1/+1 counters, and death triggers, finishing through drain effects or Halo Fountain. A fallback go-wide plan can steal games with Craterhoof Behemoth and Legion Loyalty. The deck is highly redundant in its combo categories, but its speed and consistency are heavily tied to Ghave staying on the battlefield.
