Commander: Auntie Ool, Cursewretch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund "-1/-1 counter" engine deck helmed by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. Her ability converts every counter placed on your creatures into a card, and every counter placed on opponents' creatures into life loss, turning the entire counter package into both card advantage and reach. The plan is to set up counter-spreaders (Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, The Scorpion God, Carnifex Demon, Grim Poppet), generate chaff with Nest of Scarabs, Flourishing Defenses, and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, then convert that mass into an infinite draw/drain loop or a one-sided board steal via Necroskitter and The Reaper, King No More after a Black Sun's Zenith. Finishers include Soul Immolation fed by Tree of Perdition, a proliferated Vraska, Betrayal's Sting poison ultimate, and beatdown under Kulrath Knight's attack lock. It is a value-midrange deck that wins through counter economy rather than a fast linear kill.
