Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange Reanimator list led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The deck leverages the Ring Tempts You mechanic using 9 copies of Nazgûl and Call of the Ring to trigger Sauron's powerful wheel ability. Discarding your hand to draw four fresh cards fills the graveyard with game-ending threats like Terror of the Peaks, Ancient Copper Dragon, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded. A deep suite of reanimation spells such as Reanimate, Living Death, and Rise of the Dark Realms returns these massive creatures directly to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Orcish Bowmasters and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse punish opponents for drawing cards and maintain life totals. Sauron's innate ward ability protects the engine from spot removal, allowing you to steadily grind down life totals through overwhelming combat damage and direct burn triggers.
