Token Dudes Lives Matter by MF_Donut

Format: Commander

Commander: Grismold, the Dreadsower

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-control deck helmed by Grismold, the Dreadsower. The primary strategy revolves around generating a steady stream of creature tokens (both for yourself and your opponents), then using mass -1/-1 effects, repeatable damage, or sacrifice outlets to kill those tokens repeatedly. Each token death puts a +1/+1 counter on Grismold, turning him into a growing threat that can be equipped with protection like Whispersilk Cloak or Mithril Coat to finish opponents via commander damage. Secondary win conditions include drain from Poison-Tip Archer and Massacre Wurm, as well as token swarm beats with Parallel Lives and Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The deck leans heavily on incremental value, resilient token generation, and Grismold's scaling to close out games.
