Marchesa, Whom Death Owes Debt by user8617408

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose builds an aristocrats engine that uses dethrone and sacrifice outlets to recycle creatures with +1/+1 counters. The primary path is to generate endless death triggers through Mikaeus, the Unhallowed plus a persist creature (Glen Elendra Archmage or Puppeteer Clique) and a free sacrifice outlet, finishing with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, or Flayer of the Hatebound. Secondary beats come from Sneak Attack cheating in Scourge of the Throne, Atsushi, or Grave Titan, and Rite of Replication can turn a single Scourge into a game-ending multi-combat swing. Interaction is supplied by counterspells, edicts, and Dictate of Erebos.
