Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos forced-combat and political attrition deck commanded by Xantcha, Sleeper Agent. The strategy focuses on donating high-power threats to opponents while using goad effects and pillowfort enchantments to ensure they attack each other rather than you. The early game focuses on deploying 2-CMC mana rocks and casting Xantcha on Turn 3. During the mid-game, cards like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, Disrupt Decorum, and Kardur, Doomscourge force the entire table into mutual combat, while defensive pieces like Crawlspace and No Mercy keep you protected. In the late game, damage amplifiers such as Wound Reflection, Death Kiss, and Sower of Discord rapidly deplete opposing life totals, setting up clean finishes through combat attrition, Xantcha card-draw drain activations, or a large Exsanguinate. The deck also contains a backup infinite mana line using Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth.
