Deck overview

This is a Selesnya toughness-matters swarm deck helmed by Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant. The core plan is to flood the battlefield with cheap Spider creatures (the list contains 21 distinct Spider permanents), each with reach and low power but often high toughness. Tadeas gives them evasion-they become unblockable by creatures with greater power and untap on attack-while also turning any successful combat damage into repeatable card draw. Secondary toughness-matter effects like Assault Formation, Bedrock Tortoise, Huatli, the Sun's Heart and Rasaad yn Bashir convert all that toughness into direct combat damage, turning small bodies into real clocks. The deck also leverages deathtouch (Fynn, the Fangbearer, Deadly Recluse etc.) to supplement salt and poison damage. Ultimately it is a value-driven combat deck that grinds out incremental advantage through repeated attacks, token generation (Twin-Silk Spider, Arasta of the Endless Web, Curse of Clinging Webs, Penumbra Spider and the explosive Arachnogenesis), and a solid protection/removal blanket.
